Solano College Faculty Association (SCFA) is a group of elected faculty that protects and promotes the well-being of faculty at Solano College using the Collective Bargaining Contract between Solano Community College District (SCCD) and the SCFA. SCFA works together with the California Teachers Association (CTA). In cooperation with the SCCD, SCFA makes changes to the contract because of changing times that benefit faculty, SCCD, and the Solano Community College students. It is important for faculty to band together in union to support each other and our main goal of improving conditions of teaching and learning at Solano Community College. SCFA can represent faculty whether or not they are in the union but legal representation requires faculty to be a member of SCFA.
