Solano Community College faculty, employees, and students are entitled to safe and comfortable working conditions as this provides the best environment for learning. If things can be improved to achieve this, please contact your manager to help improve working conditions. If they fail to remedy the situation, please see the following resources.

Civil Rights Violations - File a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights (OCR)

Unsafe Working Conditions - File a complaint with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

Violations of SCC Board Policies and Procedures - File a complaint with SCC HR

Violation of Collective Bargaining Contract - Please contact the Grievance.

  • Grievance information can be found in Article 15 of the Collective Bargaining Contract. Grievances are specific violations of the collective bargaining contract. Please review the contract and note the article and any sub-articles that were violated before contacting the Grievance Chair.

  • If an employee is being disrespectful or “not doing their job” this may be a violation of SCC Board Policies and Procedures and the proper avenue may be a complaint with SCC HR

  • SCFA can represent faculty whether or not they are in the union but legal representation requires faculty to be a member of SCFA.
